A graphite pencil drawing by Amy Ingalls from the DC Alt Realities series, depicting Washington DC's Union Station rendered as an isometric tesseract — a four-dimensional cube projected into three-dimensional space. The Beaux-Arts grand hall, with its coffered barrel vault, arched windows, and bronze statuary, is folded into an impossible hexagonal box where the upper concourse, train platforms, and vaulted ceiling exist simultaneously at every angle.
